Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of ReelVite: the website, the Studio editor, the invitations we host on behalf of our users, and any related services we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ReelVite lets a Host design a cinematic invitation in a browser- based editor we call the Studio, publish it to a shareable link, and collect RSVPs from the people the Host invites ("Recipients"). When you create an account, you become a Host. When you open an invitation link a Host has shared with you and submit an RSVP, you act as a Recipient.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create a Host account or enter into a paid plan. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your password and credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at security@reelvite.app if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
4. Your Content
"Your Content" means the text, images, music selections, color choices, and any other material you place into a draft or published invitation, together with the email addresses, names, and other Recipient information you upload or that Recipients submit through your invitation.
4.1 You retain ownership
You retain all rights you have in Your Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
4.2 License to ReelVite
You grant ReelVite a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes such as format conversion and resizing), display, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to deliver Your Content to the Recipients you choose. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except to the extent we are required to retain copies for legal, security, or backup purposes.
4.3 Your representations
You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to Your Content, that Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party, and that you have lawful authority to share each Recipient's contact information with us for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
4.4 Removal
We may remove, suspend, or refuse to host any content we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law, threatens the safety of others, or exposes us or our service providers to legal risk. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you when we do so, except where prompt removal is required.
5. Recipient Content
Recipients submit RSVP information directly through the invitation link. Hosts agree to collect, use, and retain Recipient information only as reasonably necessary to plan the event the invitation describes, and to comply with applicable privacy law in their jurisdiction. Recipients can request deletion of their RSVP at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. AI-Generated Templates
Some ReelVite template backgrounds are produced with the help of third-party generative-AI tools. We curate and review every template before publishing it to our library. AI-generated imagery may nevertheless contain artifacts, inaccuracies, or unintended resemblances. You are responsible for selecting templates that are appropriate for your event and audience and for replacing any imagery you do not wish to use.
You may not use the Service to produce or distribute content that is deceptive, defamatory, or that misrepresents the identity of a real person, including through deepfake or impersonation.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or any communication in violation of applicable anti-spam laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, GDPR, and similar laws in your jurisdiction.
- Upload or distribute content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, violent, or designed to harm others.
- Infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual-property right.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent applicable law permits.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any authentication or security measure.
- Use the Service to build or improve a competing product or to train machine-learning models.
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the Studio editor, our template library, our typography selections, our brand, and the ReelVite name and logo, is owned by ReelVite and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non- exclusive license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
While our templates remain available, you may use them as the starting point for invitations you create with the Service. You may not extract, redistribute, sell, sub-license, or use a template outside of the Service.
9. Fees
Some features of the Service may be offered free of charge. Other features may require payment. When we introduce paid features, the prices, billing cycles, and any free trials will be disclosed to you before you are charged, and these Terms will be supplemented by the billing terms applicable to that plan. Taxes are your responsibility unless otherwise indicated.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the Studio dashboard or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if your account creates a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will provide reasonable advance notice where possible). On termination, your right to access the Service ends and the license you granted in Section 4.2 terminates as described there.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReelVite disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that any defects will be corrected, or that the Service will meet your requirements.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReelVite and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to ReelVite during that period, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless ReelVite and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (i) Your Content, (ii) your use of the Service, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any third-party right, including any privacy or intellectual-property right.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including those listed in Section 5.1 of the Privacy Policy. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for their performance.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The federal and state courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you and ReelVite consent to the jurisdiction of, and venue in, those courts.
Nothing in this section limits either party's right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property rights.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by an in-product banner or by emailing the address associated with your account) before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReelVite with respect to the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them without restriction. Headings are for convenience only.
